Dr. Susan Marek is a seasoned audiologist with a wide range of experiences, from newborn to geriatric. She received her doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Originally from the Midwest, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) and her Master of Arts in Audiology from the University of Illinois. Dr. Marek is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds her Certificate of Competency in Audiology since 2004.
Dr. Marek started her audiology career as part of the pediatric Audiology team at the acclaimed Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Working at Lurie Children’s for 10 years, she diagnosed and managed hearing loss in newborns through teenagers, specializing in NICU diagnostics and Auditory Neuropathy management.
Dr. Marek also worked as a clinical audiologist at NorthShore University Health System in the Chicago suburbs in 2014 for three years before relocating to Melbourne, Florida in May 2017. Dr. Marek joined our practice in September 2017 and continues to meet the hearing needs of our patients.
